Have you ever looked under a log to discover a salamander or spotted a sun turtle basking in the sun? As evening falls, you might see bats flitting through the sky, feasting on pesky insects. It’s always a joy to encounter the small creatures that share our woodland adventures.
Join us at Slim Baker Lodge on October 21st at 6:00 PM for a special presentation by Josh Megyesy, wildlife biologist from the NH Fish & Game's Nongame and Endangered Wildlife Program in a talk about the Granite State's threatened and endangered wildlife. Josh will discuss ecology and biology of a variety of species, threats, habitats, and active conservation projects. The program will also cover resources available to the public, how landowners can help, and the partnerships that make conservation possible. While Josh works actively with state listed turtle populations throughout the state, he also has extensive experience with invertebrates, amphibians, birds, snakes, and small mammals. The talk will have plenty of time for questions and discussion
This is a family friendly, ages 12+ event, that is free and open to the public. Please register by contacting Jeff Beach: jeffbeach74@gmail.com or call / text: 603. 770.4386.
