Hey Tree and Forest Lovers!
It’s time to head into the woods and sharpen our tree ID skills!
Join us for a Tree Identification Workshop at Slim Baker Lodge in Bristol, NH, on Saturday, August 16th, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.
Some of the trees you’ll recognize, others may surprise you. Together, we’ll explore how to identify New Hampshire’s native trees—like oaks, birches, pines, ashes, and maples—using key characteristics that help distinguish one species from another.
We’ll also talk about their ranges, the resources they provide to us, and their importance to wildlife. Expect an easy walk along short trails and open fields, with plenty of chances to learn and ask questions.
This family-friendly, free event is hosted by The Outdoors Workshop at Hill Village Bible Church, Hill, NH. HBVC runs outdoor-themed events year-round, many of which are hosted at the Slim Baker Area, so stay tuned for more!
