Learn Map & Compass Navigation – Outdoor Workshop

Have you ever wanted to learn how to use a map and compass to confidently navigate the outdoors? Join Jeff Beech, an avid outdoorsman, for a free introductory class hosted by the Outdoors Workshop at Hill Village Bible Church.

πŸ‘₯ Who Can Attend: Ages 12 and up – individuals or families welcome!

In this hands-on session, you'll learn:

  • The parts of a compass

  • How to orient a compass with a map

  • How to read a topographic map

  • How to navigate using a compass in the field

Whether you're hiking, hunting, bushwhacking to a fishing spot, or just love being outside, these skills will boost your confidence in the woods. If you have a compass, bring it along. If not, Jeff will have extras available, along with maps for the session. We'll enjoy snacks and a short discussion before heading outside to put our new skills to the test.
