Forest Stories

  • Slim Baker Foundation Bristol, New Hampshire 03222 (map)

Every forest has a story.  Join Slim Baker Board Member, Heather Huckins, and her husband, Craig Cadieux, on a walk around the reservation learning to understand the various stories our forest are telling us.  A little forensics work, a little New Hampshire land use history, and little wildlife activity observations.   Mostly based on work by Tom Wessel’s Reading the Forested Landscape with a little wildlife habitat observations mixed in.  Your simple walks in the woods will never be the same again.

This program is free and open to the public. Participants must be able to walk / hike up to 1.5 miles. Please wear appropriate hiking attire. All ages welcome. Meet at the Kiosk. 301 New Chester Mountain Road, Bristol, NH.
