Join the NH Audubon this winter for the 38th annual Backyard Winter Bird Survey on February 8th and 9th, 2025! This statewide effort invites participants to observe and report the birds visiting their backyards, helping them to track winter bird populations and trends across New Hampshire.

How does it work?

It’s simple! Watch your backyard birds, or come for a hike at the Slim Baker Area, watch for as long as you’d like over the survey weekend, record the species you see, and submit your findings here. Whether you spend fifteen minutes or several hours, your observations make a difference. You can find the survey instructions here!
